Crews battle Mt Cottrell structure fire

Update 6.30AM

30 appliances attended the scene including a CFA Big Fill truck of 17000 litres.

Ambulance Victoria were on scene to monitor firefighter health and SES assisted FRV and CFA with operations.

Crews have remained on scene to monitor the site.

FRV specialists will investigate the cause of the fire this morning.

12.02AM

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to an incident in Faulkners Road, Mount Cottrell at 9.27pm yesterday evening after callers to Triple Zero (000) reported a shed fire.

Firefighters, assisted by CFA crews, arrived on scene to find a large fire in an area approximately 100 x 50 metres involving multiple structures and vehicles with significant smoke.

The response was escalated to a 3rd Alarm with crews attacking the fire with aerial appliances and foam.

No injuries have been reported.

The incident was deemed Under Control at 10.57pm.

A community advice was issued for smoke in the area travelling in a south west direction.
