Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to a factory fire around 5am this morning at the Concord, Bundoora.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke issuing from a double storey 10m x 20m brick factory housing an auto smash repair business.
FRV crews in breathing apparatus entered the factory and discovered a fire burning in an office area on the ground floor of the building.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire and stop it spreading to other areas of the building.
The factory also contained approximately 25 cars, some of which have been damaged in the blaze.
The scene was deemed Under Control at 5.54am, 49 minutes after FRV arrived on scene.
The office area of the building has been extensively damaged, and heavy smoke logging throughout the structure and adjoining factories.
FRV firefighters will remain on scene into the morning fully extinguishing the fire and ventilating the building.
No injuries have been reported.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and will be investigated.
CFA firefighters, Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria assisted on scene.
