FRV responds to Glen Waverley house fire

At 4.33am, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) responded to multiple calls reporting a house fire in Dunscombe Avenue, Glen Waverley.

Fire crews arrived on scene and found the rear of the single-storey weatherboard house on fire.

FRV crews in breathing apparatus performed an internal search of the house but all occupants had self-evacuated.

The fire was deemed Under Control at 5.16am.

FRV's response included 22 firefighters, five pumpers, one rescue unit and three other units.

The local council building surveyor was advised to attend to check the structural integrity of the building.

Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria were on scene to assist FRV operations.

The cause of the fire will be investigated.
